In 2009, the society teamed with the Franklin County Cemetery Society to repair gravestones and improve the condition of the Froelich Cemetery, dating back to 1872. This family cemetery is located in New Haven. The society in cooperation with family descendants is maintaining the upkeep of the cemetery.
During each Christmas season, the society hosts “Santa at the Walt!”, at the historic Walt Theater. During the event, children can watch a holiday movie, visit with Santa and get a gift bag from Santa Claus.
In 2004, the group helped the city plan activities for the Lewis and Clark Expedition visit and hosted Missouri’s Lewis and Clark traveling exhibit at the museum that year.
Society members also help promote the importance of the John Coulter Museum and Memorial monument in the historic district.
The New Haven Historic Preservation Society helped the city apply to have eight buildings placed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1999.
